Excellent Sportsmanship Shown in Primary

On Friday 26th May, all pupils in WAIS Primary took part in the annual Sports Day competition, with vital House Points on offer in the race to be crowned boys and girls sports day winners!

Pupils participated in a variety of events, from the 50 metre sprint all the way through to 800 metre runs on the track, to egg and spoon races, and the ever competitive tug-of-war competition.

There were some fine individual and team performances throughout the school, and the benefits of sport being such a vital part of the curriculum here at WAIS was plain for all to see.

Everyone showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the day, and although everyone wanted their own houses to win and showed passionate support throughout the afternoon, there could only be one winner in the boys and girls divisions.

On the day, Blake won the boy’s competition, and Cavell the girl’s competition. Congratulations to both houses on an outstanding set of results!
