Merry Christmas from WAIS Primary!

Our primary school pupils took centre stage at the end of term, with all pupils involved in performing Christmas songs, with many playing instruments they have been practicing throughout the first term.

The show was started off in impressive fashion by a Christmas Medley from our Primary Choir, who had been well practiced after performing in Christmas shows at hotels around Changzhou in the run up to Christmas.

A fantastic rendition of “Little Snowflake” by our youngest pupils in Grade 1 started off our grade performances, followed by a bell-ringing version of “Jingle Bells” from our Grade 2 classes.

Grade 3 treated the audience to a “boom whacker” version of “Up on the Housetop”, and some excellent piano and xylophone playing accompanied our Grade 4s singing “Joy to the World”.

The final two performances were from our Grade 5 classes – firstly 5G singing “Silent Night” with many of the class performing on either the ukelele or the xylophone, and rounding off the show were 5A1 and 5A2 singing “The First Noel”, again accompanied by some very talented pianists, flute, clarinet, and xylophone players.

Both children and audience alike really enjoyed the performance, and was an excellent way to conclude a fantastic first term in WAIS Primary.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
