Merry Christmas from WAIS Primary

On Friday 7th December, in front of a packed out theatre, the primary school put on their annual Christmas performance.

Having been practicing for many weeks, everyone was excited to get on stage and perform with their peer group and in front of their family members, with some members of Grade 1 in particular not able to contain their beaming smiles!

From our youngest children right through to our eldest children in Grade 5, all our pupils, dressed very smartly in full school uniform sung a range of Christmas songs including “White Christmas”, “Jingle Bells”, “Amazing Grace” and “Santa Claus is coming to town”, with many songs accompanied by some fantastic primary instrumentalists, including the Primary String Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, and the fantastic String Quartet.

During the performance, there was even a snowstorm that struck Changzhou just as the children began to start singing, making the atmosphere even more Christmas-like!

A fantastic way to end the first term of the year, and our pupils are now looking forward to the Christmas break. Merry Christmas everyone, and a happy new year!
