Primary Talent Show 2019

The annual Primary Talent Show was the best yet, with twenty one acts (including performances from the junior and senior choirs, accompanied by the Primary Woodwind Ensemble) showcasing their talents to an excited audience of children and parents alike.

Having made it through the first round of auditions, the three talent show judges, Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Wood and Miss Mellor were looking for five areas to award points for – originality, skill, personality, entertainment, and audience reaction.

With the afternoon being presented by Head Boy, X. Clarke, and Head Girl, C. Shang, who were presenting the show in both English and Chinese, the audience were treated a range of different performances from children across all ages in the school – from drum playing from T. Zhang in Grade 1 (alongside his brother in Grade 4), to magic tricks from B. Zhuang and D. Huang in Grade 4, to some fantastic ensemble performances from our Grade 5 pupils.

Showing great confidence to perform in front of packed out theatre audience, it was lovely to see so many of our pupils’ personalities really shine on stage, with many gaining confidence as their act went on.

Ultimately, the judges scorecards were very, very close, with the gap between the winner and third place just one point!

Congratulations to the winner of the Talent Show 2019…….T. Du from the Walrus Class, who won thirty points for his house alongside his trophy and certificate!

Well done to all performers who took part this year, and we encourage even more to join in next year and showcase the vast range of talents our pupils at Wycombe Abbey International School have.
