Cat Weatherill Author Visit to WAIS

Cat Weatherill visited school on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th April where she performed for KG, Primary, Years 7 and 8. She is an author, actress, singer and storyteller, who has performed on British TV and now works with the British Council, travelling the world, telling tales and entertaining young people.

KG pupils were entranced by her rhyming stories and songs. We all loved the Turnip digging song! Primary pupils heard a new version of the Three Little Pigs and sang songs to stop a bear eating cherry pies. Years 7 and 8 listened to African tales of magic and monsters and were given inspirational advice about becoming an author or writer.
