Transition morning in KG

On 18th June, every child in KG moved into their potential new year group for September. The day started with an assembly explaining what they will be doing and from then on we had lots of smiling faces and extremely happy children as each child experienced what it would be like in their new year group, enjoying some ‘getting to know you’ activities. The teachers carefully selected activities and games suitable for each group of children.

KG3 enjoyed the morning over in primary where they got to experience life as a G1 child. They enjoyed playing in the primary playground with the other primary children and loved sharing their lunch in the canteen.

KG 2 enjoyed taking the role as the oldest children in Kindergarten. They were on the top floor of the building and played a variety of games.  The KG2 children also experienced lunch in the canteen and coped extremely well.

KG1 children enjoyed playing in the KG2 classes and got to experience some different activities and games. At lunch time, the children enjoyed eating their lunch in KG2 dinner hall and followed the expectations of clearing away their trays and cutlery.

Many children in the afternoon kept asking ‘can we go to our new class?’

The children all coped and adapted very well to the change of routine in the morning and are eager and ready for September.
