Chinese Handwriting Competition in Grade 1

Autumn time in October is traditionally the time for harvest in a year. Our Grade 1 at Wycombe Abbey, the youngest children from primary are sitting nicely behind their tables, writing characters stroke by stroke.

Last week, all our pupils across Grade 1 took part in a Chinese handwriting competition! Every pupil spent 10 minutes practicing writing each day for entering this competition, and just like an old saying goes: a long journey can be covered only by taking one step at a time. We would like to congratulate all of the pupils for their fantastic effort throughout the competition!

10 worksheets from each class made it to the final, which have then been displayed on the windows. All grade ones then gave out their precious vote for their favorite sheets after comparing carefully.

In last week's Junior assembly, the winners of this competition received their certificates full of joy and pride!
