When walking around school through the month of November, pupils across Primary, Secondary and KG may have noticed some interesting facial hair adorning the faces of some of our male staff at Wycombe Abbey.
As is becoming a winter tradition now at school, these designer moustaches are being grown in the aid of “Movember” – a worldwide charity that raises money for men’s health charities, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. This forms part of our focus as a staff on our “community” aim and being involved in charitable causes.
Alongside the funny facial hair, many of our staff have taken on physical challenges too, with Mr. Marland from KG doing an ever increasing amount of burpees every day – starting at 100 so he is in for quite the challenge over the course of the month!
All staff taking part across the Wycombe Abbey Schools Group are raising money through sponsorship and are looking to raise as much money as they can for a very worth cause.
We will be sending an update at the end of November with the end product of all the impressive moustaches on show around the Wycombe Abbey Schools!
