Tennis and Fencing Competition

On Saturday 4th December, our fencers and tennis players across Primary and Secondary took centre stage as they took part in their first competitions of the year, in the basketball (fencing) and dome (tennis) respectively.

Having practiced hard during their ECAs throughout the term, this was a great opportunity for the pupils to demonstrate and apply their skills learned in a competitive environment.

With many pupils taking part in a competition for the first time, there was a mixture of nervousness and excitement on a beautiful Saturday.

Throughout the day, the coaches commented on some excellent skills shown and fantastic behaviour throughout. In total, 44 tennis and 61 fencing students took part and more providing an active audience helping contribute to an electric atmosphere.

Looking into the new year, we are looking forward to more opportunities for competitive fencing and tennis, in collaboration with the Wycombe Abbey family of schools.

Well done to all pupils who took part. The podium winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) also received special medals to take home.

Whist congratulations go to all students for displaying such a great display of prowess, congratulations must go to those that placed in the podium positions.
