Matthew Jamieson
Executive Head of School
Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Birmingham and an Executive MBA from the University of East London. His distinguished career includes serving as Interim Headmaster at Sherborne School, Assistant Head at Brighton College, and Housemaster at Bedford School in the UK, where he has made outstanding achievements in boarding school management and holistic education practice. As an educational leader, he places special emphasis on balancing academic development with comprehensive student growth. An enthusiastic participant in extracurricular activities, he is closely interested in current affairs and business theory, and enjoys opera and classical music. He is a long-distance runner, a former junior international hockey player, and enjoys team activities, once leading a team of 50 on an expedition to Everest Base Camp. These diverse personal experiences and passions fully demonstrate his commitment to holistic education principles.

With over 20 years of experience in international education, she has received the highest honour awarded by a leading international education group. Throughout her career, she has been committed to leading high-performing teams to deliver holistic education with warmth and purpose, empowering every child to thrive and reach their full potential.
She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Torrens University Australia and is a certified Headteacher accredited by Beijing Normal University. With over 20 years of experience in international education, she has received the highest honour awarded by a leading international education group. Throughout her career, she has been committed to leading high-performing teams to deliver holistic education with warmth and purpose, empowering every child to thrive and reach their full potential.
Kaihe Chen
Chinese Head of Moral Education
A graduate from the College of Law and Politics of Anhui Normal University, he has 40 years of education and teaching experience and a wealth of school management experience. He is an influential educator who has presided over or participated in national and provincial education research projects and published dozens of papers in journals above the provincial level and national Chinese core journals, factors that have contributed to his appointment to the 14th Changzhou CPPCC city advisory body. "Every child is unique. Independent personality, free thinking, pursuing truth, serving society."

David Fosu
Executive Head of Upper School
David graduated with an LLB in Law and an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). With over ten years of teaching and leadership experience across the UK, China, and Ghana, he is well-versed in multicultural education and international curricula including A Level, IGCSE, IB, and Edexcel. His teaching expertise spans Economics, Business Studies, and Accounting. He has led summer camps at universities including the London School of Economics and Political Science and University College London, and developing an alumni programme in partnership with King's College London.

She has held senior academic leadership roles at leading UK independent and boarding schools, including Head of Department, Assistant Housemaster, Head of University Guidance and Deputy Head Academic. With expertise across iGCSE, A Level and EPQ/HPQ, she brings extensive experience from curriculum design through to university guidance.

Helen Benaglia-Wood
Executive Head of Kindergarten
She has an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Exeter, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Hong Kong Institute of Education. With over ten years of teaching experience in Hong Kong, She has a deep understanding of WASCZ philosophy of holistic education, and the combination of exceptional professional competence and cross-cultural understanding enables her to excel in delivering British education in a Chinese context.

Dr Richard Su
Director of Academics
Richard has a PhD in Mathematics from Loughborough University and 17 years of experience in the British education system, with a subject speciality in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. He has seven years of UCAS application guidance experience, supporting many students in gaining offers from Oxford, Cambridge, and competitive medicine-related programmes.

Director of Pastoral Operations
Kristan holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Essex, UK, and a professional teaching qualification from the University of Cambridge for international teacher development. With over 20 years of experience in international education and school leadership, he is an accredited inspector for COBIS and has served as a tutor for the University of Buckingham’s international teacher training programme. He has held senior teaching and leadership positions in schools across the UK, China, Australia, and the United States. Well-versed in IB, IGCSE, and A Level curricula, He has developed a strong track record in teaching, pastoral, boarding, and university guidance.
