We are proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our STEM Racing (F1 in Schools) team at the BritCham STEM Racing 2025–2026 Season Test Day, held in Shanghai in December 2025.
The event, jointly organized by BritCham Shanghai and STEM Racing, brought together students from WASCZ and other schools in Shanghai. Over the course of the day, more than 20 students formed six competitive teams, applying their engineering, design, and teamwork skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Outstanding Results
WASCZ delivered an exceptional performance, securing both 1st and 3rd place overall:
· 1st Place – NEXUS RACING 1 (WASCZ)
· 3rd Place – NEXUS RACING 2 (WASCZ)
These results reflect our students’ dedication, technical competence, and ability to work effectively under competitive conditions.
STEM Racing is one of the world’s largest youth STEM competitions, challenging students to replicate the full Formula 1 development cycle–from CAD design and aerodynamic testing to branding, marketing, and sponsorship planning. Through this programme, students develop problem-solving skills, creativity, leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
A highlight of the event was an inspiring session led by Andy Man, Project Manager of STEM Racing Hong Kong & Macau, who shared insights into the global STEM Racing journey and the real-world skills developed through the programme. The Test Day was also attended by distinguished guests from education and industry, underscoring the growing importance of experiential STEM learning.
At WASCZ, STEM learning is an integral part of every student’s development, extending far beyond the classroom and simple knowledge transfer. Through extracurricular activities such as CAD design, woodworking, and VR/AR design, we have built an innovative, hands-on STEM education system. We encourage students to explore driven by curiosity, collaborate to achieve breakthroughs, and embrace challenges with a sense of responsibility–values that embody the practical spirit of our holistic education philosophy.
Looking ahead, we are excited to see more students take their knowledge to wider stages, turning creativity into action and ideas into tangible outcomes, showcasing the wisdom and talents of WASCZ students on the global stage.
