At a time when application numbers continue to reach record highs and leading universities increasingly adopt holistic admissions processes, how do we support our students not only to excel academically, but also to grow into resilient, confident, and well-rounded future leaders?
The WASCZ Gifted & Talented(G&T) Programme was jointly initiated by Mr Fosu, Executive Head of Upper School , and Ms Wang, Head of Social Sciences department. Designed to identify and nurture individual potential, the programme focuses on students’ outstanding abilities in one or more academic and practical fields. Through a structured framework that includes scholarship incentives, personalised mentoring, career pathway planning, advanced competition preparation, and access to enriched academic and research opportunities, the programme provides systematic and targeted support for high-achieving students, with the aim of guiding them towards admission to the world’s leading universities.
In addition, WASCZ works closely with Ms Yasmin Sarwar, Founder of Cardiff Sixth Form College and Former Chief Education Officer. With over 20 years of experience in guiding students to top universities in the UK and the US, Ms Sarwar supports our students through the ProEd education platform, offering data-driven, strategic, and goal-oriented guidance. This partnership enables both our high-performing students and the wider school community to plan their futures with clarity and confidence, and to pursue long-term success.
