Revving Up Excellence: Aston Martin’s Masterclass with Mr. Marek Reichman
In a remarkable encounter bridging the worlds of engineering and art, a group of 37 aspiring students from Grades 10 to 12 embarked on an unforgettable journey to meet Mr. Marek Reichman, the visionary Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin. Taking advantage of Mr. Reichman’s presence in Shanghai for the thrilling F1 races, the students had a unique opportunity to delve into the heart and soul of Aston Martin’s concept and design philosophy.
This event was geared to further our school’s Extension Aim; to stretch, challenge and mentor students as they deepen their global understanding, demonstrate creativity, innovate, and step up to take others along their journey of success.
During the masterclass, Mr. Reichman not only shared the rich history of Aston Martin but also patiently answered our students’ questions in detail, fostering a dynamic and engaging dialogue. Our children seized the opportunity to gain insights into the forefront of automotive engineering and design and had a bank of questions prepared for this exchange.
The students posed excellent questions, reflecting their curiosity about cutting-edge advancements in the industry. Topics such as composites, future materials, AI in design, and the electrification of vehicles sparked captivating discussions. Mr. Reichman, with his expertise and experience, provided thought-provoking responses, shedding light on the path ahead for Aston Martin and the automotive industry.
The exploration of AI in design highlighted the role of technology in augmenting the creative process.
