Courses and Projects Offered by WAS Changzhou in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Education are as follows：

Kindergarten

STEAM education begins in the Kindergarten at WAS Changzhou with weekly classes designed to inspire the children to learn through investigation. Projects include construction, creative design, environmental measurements in the forest and by the lake, growing and nurturing plants, observing, and caring for animals,

Grades 1-6

WASCZ offers a fully integrated Science & Technology course for children in Grades 1-6, with six lessons per week, access to laboratories and the outdoor environment, and projects that cover the full range of scientific, engineering, programming, and design disciplines. The year culminates in a STEAM week, during which teams are challenged to design solutions to local issues that combine aesthetics, tourism, land management, business generation and environmental protection.

Grades 7-9

In Grades 7-9, experimental science courses in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are delivered by specialist teachers to all students. Optional ‘Enrichment and Extension’ Clubs are offered in 3D-printing, EV3 Engineering, Python Language Programme, C++, Robotics, Arduino Circuit Breakers, Aquaponics, Lab Cooking, Chocolate Factory, Engineering Design, Logic, Sustainability, Aromatherapy, Carbon Footprint, and Recycle & Reuse.

Grades 10-12

Students in G10-12 are mentored as they complete individual research projects, leading to EPQ and CREST Awards, and enter international competitions such as the British and Australian Science Olympiads, the American Mathematics Competitions, and the Royal Society of Chemistry challenges.

Facilities include 9 laboratories for the Natural Sciences, 3 laboratories for Engineering Design & Technology, 3 Computing laboratories, specialist facilities for Food Science, 3D-Printing, and Laser-cutting, as well as six class sets of portable personal computers.

At WASCZ, we are commited to offering as much opportunities as possible for students to work on Interdisciplinary reaserches and scenarios, cultivating their excellent critical skills, innovation skills and problem-solving skills for lifelong development.
