The 2026 WAS Culture Festival will showcase the arts in an even more diverse and dynamic way. From solo piano and instrumental performances, chamber ensembles, dance, and vocal performances, encouraging both technical skill and emotional expression; the digital composition and original creations, will offer young composers a stage to present their own works; a rich variety of visual arts categories, including painting, calligraphy, sculpture, photography, film and animation, artistic expression will flourish across multiple dimensions.

Every participant will experience the tension and thrill of creation and performance on a professional stage, using the language of art to tell their own story and explore the limitless possibilities of self-expression.

Performing Arts Exploration – Theatre Lab

A signature feature of the Culture Festival, the one-day Theatre Workshop is open to all interested students, staff, and parents. Led by professional teachers and drama experts from across WAS community, participants will experience immersive activities such as spinning ball performances, scene creation, and professional acting techniques. In this theatrical space, every participant can feel the charm of  “life on stage,” discovering inner strength through confident expression and teamwork.

Since its inaugural edition, the WAS Culture Festival has become one of the most anticipated annual events within the WAS international community. It provides students from WAS and invited participants from across China with a platform to showcase their talents and express themselves. Through participating in competitions and performances, students develop confidence and courage through the arts, enhance communication and collaboration through teamwork, and ignite creativity and cultural understanding through creation.

This inclusive and inspiring celebration of the arts allows us to witness countless young people grow from tentative expression to confident brilliance. It gives every child the opportunity to be seen and heard, making art a language to connect with the world and creativity a source of their future potential.
