On April 18, 2025, the WASCZ Kindergarten was bathed in golden sunshine as families gathered for our much-anticipated Spring Picnic Day! All week, parents and children looked forward to this event, ready to immerse themselves in a joyful afternoon filled with games, delicious treats and unforgettable memories. Let’s revisit the magic!
Our Head of Kindergarten, Ms Benaglia-Wood, opened the event with heartfelt words inviting our families to relax, play and have fun. While families enjoyed a spring-themed buffet prepared by our school chefs, including egg tarts, fresh fruit and ice cream, K1 teachers prepared exciting games that turned the garden into a playground of laughter and teamwork.

Egg-cellent Treasure Hunt!
Children, as little explorers, teamed up to look for eggs, their baskets clinking with magical “spring eggs”. From treetops to flower beds, every discovery sparked giggles. Parents, witnessing their children’s joy and excitement, couldn’t resist joining the adventure, too.
Splash-tastic Water Balloon Art!
Children tossed water balloons at the chalk drawings on the blackboard. As balloons burst, vibrant splashes created unique “spring masterpiece”! Laughter and cheers filled the air as everyone embraced the messy fun!
Hop to the Top!
In the picnic’s sack race, children hopped inside sacks like little bunnies, racing to the finish line. Some hopped gracefully, others tumbled with giggles, but everyone crossed the line with giant smiles!
Shake, Shake, Spring Eggs!
Families gathered around a giant rainbow parachute, placing eggs on top. As everyone shook the parachute, the eggs danced like springtime confetti.
Closing: Memories to Cherish
As the sun’s warming beams started to fade and families headed home, they did so with hearts full of joy. These memories of teachers, children and parents enjoying spring together will stay with us forever.
