David Aitchison
Executive Head of School
He has a PGCE in Applied Science, an MA in International Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and is working towards an Educational Doctorate (EdD). With over 21 years of teaching and management experience as a teacher and headmaster in the UK, South Korea and Thailand, Mr Aitchison will lead WASCZ to deepen its community and reach new heights of excellence in education, drawing on his outstanding leadership, extensive experience, academic learning and cultural awareness.
Qinghao Kan
Chinese Head of School
With 48 years of educational experience and rich experience in school management, he has served as headmaster in many primary schools, chaired provincial education research projects many times, and published dozens of papers in educational journals at the provincial level and nationally, with his work covering a wide range of aspects, including school management, education supervision, and family education guidance. With the philosophy of ‘teaching for growth, educating for the future, and doing warm education’, he is committed to realising a new pattern of high-quality education development in WASCZ.
Kaihe Chen
WASCZ Chinese Head of Upper School & Chinese Deputy Head of School
Graduating from the College of Law and Politics of Anhui Normal University, Mr Chen has 40 years of education and teaching experience and a wealth of school management experience. He is a member of the 14th Changzhou CPPCC representative body. He has presided over or participated in national and provincial education research projects and published dozens of papers in journals above the provincial level and national Chinese core journals.

Jonathan Fan
WASCZ Assistant Head of Development & History (Chinese) Teacher & Chinese Curriculum Director of Upper School
He has a Master’s Degree from Sichuan University and has taught at WASCZ for over seven years. He is committed to guiding students towards the path of realisation, and through the concerted efforts of all teachers and students, he has built WASCZ into a vibrant, loving and intelligent place, laying a solid foundation for the future success of his students.
Victoria Hany
WASCZ Executive Head of Lower School
She has a BA (Hons)from Nottingham Trent University and a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. With over 20 years of experience teaching the British National Curriculum in the UK, Egypt and Qatar, and as a mother of a 15-year-old boy, she has a deep empathy for education. She is committed to helping her students achieve physical well-being, a sense of belonging in their minds, and a sense of academic fulfilment at WASCZ.
Lila Qi
WASCZ Chinese Head of Lower School
Over the past 17 years, she has been immersed in the front-line teaching position, twice awarded the title of ‘Outstanding Class Teacher in Primary and Secondary Schools’ by the Education Bureau, continuously exploring the combination of localisation and internalisation of education, adhering to the educational philosophy of ‘Teach love, teach wisdom, teach success’, and faithfully fulfilling the sacred duty of a teacher to contribute to the growth of her students.
Helen Benaglia-Wood
Executive Head of Kindergarten
She has an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Exeter and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Hong Kong Institute of Education. With almost 15 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong, She has a deep understanding of WASCZ philosophy of holistic education, and the combination of exceptional professional competence and cross-cultural understanding enables her to excel in delivering British education in a Chinese context.
Zhengrong Liu
WASCZ Chinese Head of Kindergarten
As a head of kindergarten for decades, she has rich experience in kindergarten education and has excelled in theory and practice. She has always adhered to the educational philosophy of ‘child-centredness’ to ensure children’s safety and happiness. She has emphasised the playfulness and life-oriented nature of kindergarten curricula, formulating curricula that align with children’s age and physical and mental health.
Ralf de Bos
WASCZ Deputy Headmaster (Pastoral) & Head of ESL and IELTS
Ralf graduated from Wageningen University, is a former IELTS examiner, and has taught at WASCZ for 12 years. He believes building trust with students is the key to being a good teacher. He believes that a teacher is not only to preach and teach but also to solve problems and help students solve problems in their lives.

David Fosu
WASCZ Deputy Head (Community) & Teacher of Economics
David graduated with an LLB in Law and an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Responsible for staff training and appraisal, he has multiple experiences working in the corporate legal and education sectors. He has over ten years of teaching and management experience in the education sector, leading summer camps at universities, including the London School of Economics and Political Science and University College London, and developing an alumni programme in partnership with King’s College London.
Jonathan Barry
Deputy Head of Whole school (Extension)& Teacher of Chemistry
Johnathan has a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, with 15 years of experience in education in China and the UK. This experience has given him deep insights into the application process, students’ challenges, and the strategies needed for success. He is well-versed in the university application process, from selecting courses and universities to staying current with many programmes’ latest trends and requirements.

Sourjya Mukherjee
Head of Natural Science & Teacher of Biology
Graduating from Bangalore University in India, he has accumulated 15 years of extensive experience and expertise in international education. He fostered student success through personalised support and engaging educational activities.
Shaun Yuan
Teacher of Biology
Studied for a PhD from Zhejiang University, he has been rooted in education for 17 years and has taught in WASCZ for four years.
Irish Tan
Teacher of Biology & Housemistress of Dove House
With a Bechelor’s Degree from Changchun Normal University, she is a veteran teacher who has been teaching at WASCZ for five years and is also the Housemistress of Dove House.
Max Fielden
Assistant Headmaster (Extension) & Teacher of Chemistry
Max has a Bachelor’s degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and five years of teaching experience at WASCZ. He has successfully created many popular enrichment and extension classes in WASCZ, and is also the director of the STEM experimental camp.

He has a Master’s Degree from Barkatullah University, India, with 25 years of profound experience in education.

Alice has a Master’s degree from Jiangsu Institute of Technology. She holds a high school chemistry teacher qualification certificate and has been teaching in WASCZ for four years.

Jackie has a Master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a physics teacher qualification certificate and five years of teaching experience.
Imtiaz Ahmed

He has a Master’s Degree from Khazar University, Azerbaijan, and holds a PGCE with eight years of teaching experience.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in science and a postgraduate diploma in engineering (satellite telecommunications) and is a veteran teacher with 23 years of teaching experience.

Armaan Shaikh
Head of Engineering Design and Technology
Armaan has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from one of India’s five-star public universities. He has an M.Ed. from the University of Nottingham and obtained a PGCE qualification from the UK. He has taught at WASCZ for six years and has gained extensive practical experience teaching Engineering, Chemistry, Physics and Secondary Science.

Les has a Bachelor’s Degree from Rhodes University, South Africa, with 36 years of experience in the field of education, and has been teaching at WASCZ for six years.
Linda Liu
Teacher of ICT
Linda has a Bachelor’s degree from Yangzhou University and has taught at WASCZ for three years. She holds a high school computer teacher qualification certificate and is skilled in Scratch programming, 3D modelling, and animation production.
Sonya Feng

Sonya has a Bachelor’s degree from Harbin Normal University and has been teaching at WASCZ for three years. Holding a teaching qualification and a software testing certification, she is skilled in technologies and software like Python, Java, Scratch, Photoshop, and Animate.

Lina Jiang
Assistant Head of Faculty (MAS)
As one of the founding teachers of WASCZ, she has witnessed the growth of each graduating class as a tutor for A Level Maths, Further Maths and International Maths Competitions (UKMT/AMC/CEMC). She has guided her students to the world’s most prestigious universities, such as Cambridge, New York University and the University of Hong Kong.

With a Master’s degree from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, he has over ten years of experience teaching IGSCE, IB and A-level mathematics.
Tina Liu
Teacher of Mathematics
Tina has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Nanjing Agricultural University, holds Cambridge University Teaching Qualification TKT and CLIL certificates, and English and Mathematics teacher qualification certificates. She has nine years of experience in the education industry.
Ivy Wang

With a Bachelor’s degree from Jiangsu Normal University, 12 years of teaching experience, holds a teaching certificate and has been teaching in WASCZ for nine years.
Nasir Mehmood

Nasir has a Master’s degree from the Professional Military Education (PME) Centre for the US Air and Space Forces Air University. He has 15 years of maths teaching experience, developing lesson plans aligned to IGCSE, A Level, Edexcel and IB curricula.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Jiangsu Institute of Education, she has 15 years of experience in education and, as one of our founding teachers, has been teaching at WASCZ for 11 years.

Jacqueline Wang

Jacqueline has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester and Master’s degree in Business Analysis and Management from Loughborough University. As a Pearson Edexcel A Level Accounting marking teacher and an instructor of ASDAN Business Simulation Challenge, she has rich educational experience in students’ subject guidance and competition coaching.

Belle has a Bachelor’s Degree from Shenyang Institute of Physical Education and has been teaching at WASCZ for three years, with 11 years of rowing training and extensive water rescue experience. She won first place in the women’s eight category in the Rowing National Regatta in 2017.

He has a 15-year career as a national-level football player and holds an international professional football coaching qualification. He has a wealth of experience in teaching and has led his teams to win many international tournaments.

He has a Bachelor’s degree from Institut Textile et Chimique de Lyon (ITECH). He is a certified coach by USRowing, head of Shanghai Rowing Club, with 26 years of senior experience, and has been leading the coaching in WASCZ for two years.

Francesca has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Venice, with 24 years of relevant experience in the field, a TESOL International English Teacher’s Certificate and has been teaching in WASCZ for two years.
