Besides G5 institutions, over 50% of this year’s graduates received offers from University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh, King’s College London, and University of Warwick, totalling 64 offers, including 29 from Manchester, 17 from Edinburgh, 13 from King’s, and 5 from Warwick, further testament to WASCZ’s strength in UK university applications.
In the United States, our students received 18 offers, with particularly strong results in media and arts-related fields. These include three offers from New York University, one from The Pennsylvania State University, and a host of offers from renowned creative institutions such as Berklee College of Music, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Notably, one student received an offer from Emerson College, home to the nation’s top-ranked media and communication programme.
Our graduates also performed exceptionally well in Canada and Australia.
In Canada, students received 14 offers, all from top 10 local universities, including five from the University of Toronto, three from the University of British Columbia, and two from the University of Waterloo.
In Australia, students secured 23 offers from the top 11 national institutions, including nine from the University of Melbourne, six from the University of Sydney, four from Monash University, one from the University of Queensland, and one from the University of Adelaide.
In Hong Kong, China, our students secured an offer from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. As the city continues to grow in popularity among applicants, we look forward to seeing even stronger results from future Wycombe Abbey cohorts.
Meanwhile, more students are turning their sights to emerging destinations such as Switzerland, Italy, and Singapore. Offers included places at the world’s top two hospitality schools, EHL Hospitality Business School and Swiss Hotel Management School, as well as the LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore and the Istituto Marangoni in Italy. These results reflect the growing diversity and specialisation of our university application strategies.
Multi-country application routes have also become increasingly popular among students. Many graduates have received multiple offers across the UK, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong, broadening their global horizons and giving them more options than ever before.
Based on WASCZ’s through-train STEM education from kindergarten to upper school, students have a clear advantage in science and technology disciplines. In the UK, over 80% of our offers are in STEM-related fields, reflecting both the students’ deep interest and the school’s strength in preparing them for tomorrow’s industries.
Humanities and social sciences are also seeing a shift towards interdisciplinary and future-facing options such as Politics with Modern Languages or Social Sciences with Data Analytics, as well as more nuanced versions of traditional subjects (e.g. Educational Psychology instead of pure Education), showcasing the students’ critical thinking and global foresight.
