WASCZ is proud to celebrate the successful participation of our students in the 2025/2026 VEX Robotics Competition, held at Wellington College International School Shanghai, Pudong, from 23–24 January 2026.
This marked a significant milestone for WASCZ, as it was the first year of running our Robotics Enrichment Programme and our first time entering both VEX IQ and VEX V5 competitions. Competing alongside experienced international schools, our students demonstrated strong teamwork, creativity, and resilience throughout the event.
We are especially pleased to share that one of our VEX IQ teams reached the final stage and achieved an impressive sixth-place finish, a remarkable outcome for a debut year.
Robotics at WASCZ is open to all students, with a clear progression pathway: Grades 7–8 participate in VEX IQ, while Grades 9–12 engage in VEX V5, developing advanced engineering and problem-solving skills through hands-on challenges and competition. As we look ahead, the EDT Department is committed to strengthening and expanding the programme further. Students interested in joining the Robotics ECA are encouraged to contact the EDT Department for registration and further information, as we prepare for even greater opportunities in the coming year.
At WASCZ, we respect and value every individual interest, and design personalised, progressive learning pathways to nurture it. Beyond academic achievement, we place equal emphasis on hands-on practical skills and interdisciplinary thinking, guiding each student to challenge themselves, broaden their horizons, and grow through real-world experiences. Alongside like-minded peers, our students are encouraged to move forward together and explore the limitless possibilities of the future.
