U12 Basketball Tournament Highlights
The U12 boys’ and girls’ WASCZ basketball teams delivered outstanding performances at a recent tournament in Nanjing. Both teams showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, reflecting the school’s commitment to athletic excellence.
The boys impressed with explosive power and sharp shooting, while the girls dazzled with smart tactics and tenacious defence. The seamless teamwork and never-give-up attitude of both teams inspired everyone.
Beyond the scores, the tournament emphasised personal growth and camaraderie. Our players formed new friendships, embraced challenges, and embodied the spirit of fair play, aligning with Wycombe Abbey’s commitment to holistic education.

U15 Girls Basketball Tournament Recap
The WASCZ U15 Girls Basketball team showcased exceptional talent and resilience at the recent tournament in Nanjing. Competing against top-tier teams, our players demonstrated skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.
Standout Performances
Offensive Leaders: Y. Lin, H. Stevens, and A. Mandvidza led the scoring efforts, consistently challenging opposing defences.
Defensive Anchors: H. Wang, E. Yang, and E. Ye provided steadfast defence, disrupting opponents’ plays and securing rebounds.
Team Cohesion: Every player contributed to the team’s success, reflecting the depth and unity of our squad.
Overcoming Adversity
Despite facing injurie– A. Mandvidza with a finger injury and H. Wang with a nail injury–the team displayed remarkable determination, culminating in a decisive 8-2 victory over BSN1 in the final match.
