With Space and Beyond as this year’s theme, all ten Houses are ready to take the stage. WASCZ upper school students will bring together powerful vocals, energetic dance, instrumental performances and spectacular stage acts, taking music beyond the boundaries of reality and into the vastness of space.
The event will also be livestreamed, with online voting giving viewers the chance to choose the “Viewers’ Choice Award” and support their favourite House.

01 A New Theme: Space and Beyond
The vastness of space begins with curiosity about the unknown; the spirit of exploration is driven by a longing to discover what lies beyond. This year, House Unison turns its gaze to the cosmos with the theme Space and Beyond, inviting students to push the boundaries of their imagination, explore the unknown through music and creativity, and create their own interstellar stages.
“As space exploration continues to push the boundaries of human knowledge, this theme celebrates curiosity, ambition and imagination. It encourages every House to experiment, innovate and explore new possibilities together,” Mr Poliak, Head of Performing Arts at WASCZ.
From selecting and arranging songs to organising rehearsals; from choreographing dance routines to designing costumes, backdrops and the overall stage concept, students will take the lead in creative decision-making and oversee every aspect of their performances. Through close collaboration and intensive rehearsals, they will learn to listen to one another, work in harmony and bring different ideas together, with every individual’s talents and creativity contributing to the strength of the team.

02 Ten Houses, One Crown
Who Will Take the Title?
Every House is giving its all in pursuit of collective honour, with students bringing their own creative ideas to an exciting competition.
At this year’s House Choir Competition, the judging panel will assess each House on stage presence and energy, teamwork, the quality of collaboration within the House, and creativity in interpreting the theme. The awards presented on the day will be House Unison Winner, Best Girl’s House and Best Boy’s House. Which Houses will take home this year’s top honours? We look forward to finding out!
Beyond the stage, online audiences will have a special opportunity to show their support. After the performances, live voting will open to determine the Viewers’ Choice Award. Remember to book your livestream viewing and cast your vote for your favourite House!
03 A Surprise on Stage:
The Teachers’ Band Joins the Show
House Unison is also a celebration of the WASCZ teachers who support students throughout their journey. From dedicated guidance in the classroom to professional support with music and stage technology, as well as careful event planning and logistical arrangements, teachers bring expertise and enthusiasm to every student endeavour.
In this student-led annual event, teachers serve not only as expert guides but also as supporters of students’ exploration and growth. Working behind the scenes, they provide guidance while giving students the space to create and express themselves, ensuring every idea has the chance to be explored and every effort contributes to the strength of the team. House Unison showcases not only students’ musical talents, but also their shared journey of growth, as teachers and students work together to create something extraordinary.

Why is House Unison one of the most anticipated events of the year?
As one of WASCZ’ biggest annual musical celebrations, House Unison is also a vivid expression of the school’s House culture. Bringing students of different ages together, it allows individual talents and personalities to shine while giving everyone a place within the collective. Every moment in the spotlight is made possible by teamwork and dedication behind the scenes; every outstanding performance reflects the combined efforts of an entire House. More than a musical showcase, it is a celebration of belonging, unity and collective pride.
Throughout the preparation and performances, students challenge themselves and develop confidence, leadership, creativity and teamwork. Working together across year groups, they also build lasting friendships. When the voices of all ten Houses come together in harmony, we hear not only the passion of youth, but also the strength of a community built on mutual trust and support.
