On 19 April, the fourth WAS Top Universities Fair concluded successfully at WASCZ. Admissions representatives from over 50 leading universities across the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia gathered on campus, working alongside WASCZ’s experienced university guidance team to provide nearly 100 attending families with face-to-face, first-hand advice on overseas study. Together, they opened a meaningful dialogue on aspirations and direction, building a bridge for students towards the global stage.
Direct Engagement with World-Leading Universities
The fair brought together an outstanding line-up of institutions. Representatives from leading comprehensive universities—including The University of Melbourne, The Australian National University, Fudan University, King’s College London, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Birmingham, and Rutgers University—were in attendance. Specialist institutions such as UAL, Istituto Marangoni, and EHL Hospitality Business School also attracted significant interest. Admissions representatives shared authoritative and up-to-date insights on university strengths, course offerings, application processes, entry requirements, and future career pathways.
Students spent time at the stands of their dream universities, listening carefully to each piece of advice. Parents moved between institutions, comparing curricula and career prospects alongside their children. Meanwhile, WASCZ’s university guidance team provided tailored support, helping families clarify pathways and refine their plans. Through these direct interactions, families gained a deeper understanding of international education systems and received practical guidance on university planning, profile development, and time management. The fair became not just an information exchange, but a meaningful conversation about future possibilities.
Admissions representatives also spoke highly of WASCZ students. A representative from Istituto Marangoni commented: “The students here are highly engaged and asked many thoughtful questions about their interests. It is clear that the school fosters a strong humanistic approach and encourages independent thinking.”
Holistic Education Driving Diverse University Outcomes
According to the representatives, global admissions trends are increasingly characterised by diversity and interdisciplinarity. Beyond academic results, leading universities are placing greater emphasis on students’ intellectual curiosity, cross-disciplinary exploration, and distinctive personal qualities.
Against this competitive global landscape, WASCZ graduates continue to achieve outstanding outcomes. Offers span over 200 subject areas, with destinations including the UK, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong SAR. Many students have secured multiple offers across different countries and regions, demonstrating an increasingly global outlook.
After 14 years of delivering holistic education, WASCZ now celebrates its 12th graduating cohort. To date, the Class of 2026 has received over 330 offers from leading global universities, once again achieving a full sweep of the UK G5 Groups: 1 offer from Oxford, 1 offer from Cambridge, 1 offer from Imperial College London, 2 offers from the LSE and 12 offers from UCL. In addition, offers continue to arrive from world-renowned universities such as The University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney, the University of Toronto, KCL, Australian National University, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Manchester, as well as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Students specialising in music and performing arts have also achieved notable success, receiving offers and scholarships from leading institutions including the UAL, Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, Royal Northern College of Music, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
These outstanding results reflect not only students’ sustained dedication and carefully planned individual pathways, but also WASCZ’s commitment to holistic education. From helping students define their goals during the IGCSE and A Level stages to providing tailored application strategies and intensive preparation, every step is designed to build the academic capabilities and core competencies essential for lifelong success.
Beyond the fair itself, WASCZ’s support extends across all aspects of student development. The school regularly invites representatives from leading global universities to deliver talks and guidance sessions. Through its Gifted and Talented Programme, mentorship schemes, high-level academic competition coaching, and personalised career planning, WASCZ connects students with high-quality global resources, broadens their international outlook, and supports their applications to the world’s top universities.
While the WAS Top Universities Fair has concluded, the reflections it inspired and the aspirations it ignited continue. At WASCZ, education is never defined solely by an offer letter. It is about helping each student discover their own direction and equipping them with the confidence and capability to engage with the world. As the future unfolds, we look forward to seeing more WASCZ students step onto the global stage—guided by academic excellence, strength of character, and a truly international perspective—and embark on journeys that reach far beyond the horizon.
