Competing in a vibrant display of talent and creativity, our students from grades 1 to 7 showcased their abilities in both English and Chinese, representing both departments with grace and skill.
The festival featured a wide array of categories, including Native English, English Non-Native (ESL), English as an Additional Language (EAL), Chinese Native and Chinese as a second language. Our young performers dazzled the audience with their poetic recitations, seamlessly transitioning between languages while demonstrating not just their linguistic skills but also their understanding of the emotional depth of each piece.
The students captivated their audience through engaging presentations that incorporated dynamic movement and emotional expression, truly bringing the words to life. Their ability to evoke meaning and connect with their listeners was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for language. Each recitation offered insight and a deep connection to the themes they explored, making the performances both enlightening and joyful to watch.
The event highlighted the importance of language as a tool for connection and understanding in our global community. It was inspiring to witness how our students expressed their passion for language and their desire to engage with the world around them.
As we celebrate their incredible achievements, we could not be prouder of our students for winning 25 trophies across the various categories. This accomplishment reflects not only their individual talents but also the supportive environment fostered at WASCZ.
