One of the highlights of the event was the Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) activity, which allowed students to explore the waterways of Suzhou while honing their balance and coordination skills. The students were given expert guidance and safety instruction, and they had a blast gliding across the water on their boards.
Another exciting activity was catapult making, which required the students to work together in teams to design and build their own catapults. This activity was a great exercise in creativity, problem-solving and teamwork, as the students had to collaborate closely to come up with a functional and effective design before firing their water bombs at each other.
Shelter making was another important activity as it taught the students essential survival skills such as how to construct a shelter using natural materials found in the environment. This activity required the students to work together and use their ingenuity to build a sturdy and waterproof shelter that could withstand the elements.
The students also learned how to filter dirty water in the wild, which is a crucial skill for anyone venturing out into the wilderness. They were taught various techniques for purifying water, including boiling, using natural ingredients, and filtration, and they had the opportunity to practice these techniques themselves.
Bike riding was another thrilling activity that allowed the students to explore the beautiful scenery of Suzhou while getting some exercise and fresh air. The high ropes and team building activities were also fantastic opportunities for the students to challenge themselves, build their confidence, and develop their leadership and communication skills.
Finally, the 3-hour hike through the countryside of Suzhou was a wonderful way for the students to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of their surroundings. This activity gave them a chance to get some exercise, breathe in some fresh air, and experience the tranquillity of the outdoors.
Overall, the 2-day Enrichment Camp in Suzhou was a huge success, with the students having fun, trying new experiences, and learning valuable skills along the way. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to step outside their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and develop important life skills that will serve them well in the future.
