Not long ago, WASCZ was alive with excitement and creativity as we celebrated our Lower School Week Without Walls Activity Week—a truly resounding success! Students unlocked their potential, gained confidence, and enjoyed a truly memorable journey of growth through a rich variety of activities, including science projects, mental maths competitions, poetry contests, study trips, and fun sports events.
Science & Global Perspectives Fair
One of the week’s highlights was the Science GP Fair Afternoon, where students showcased their incredible Science, GP, and Earth Day projects. It was a joy to welcome parents into our classrooms, allowing them to witness firsthand the eagerness and passion their children have for learning. The smiles and pride on everyone’s faces were a testament to the hard work and creativity that went into every project.
Maths Mastermind & Ancient Poetry competition
The atmosphere was electric during the Maths Mastermind final, where the air was thick with anticipation. You could have heard a pin drop as our talented participants tackled challenging problems that tested their agility in Maths. Similarly, the Ancient Poetry competition final kept us all on the edge of our seats, as each student brought their own flair and interpretation to life through poetry.
Nanjing Sicence Museum Trip
Our grand outing to the Science Museum was another major highlight. It provided an excellent opportunity for teamwork, problem-solving, and, most importantly, fostering a sense of community spirit among our students. The hands-on exhibits and interactive displays captured their imaginations and sparked further curiosity.
Mindful & BBQ Lunch
We also introduced mindful relaxation practices this week, which laid a wonderful foundation for our upcoming Mindfulness Week. Mindfulness is essential for our students’ well-being, and it was heartening to see them engage in these practices.
No celebration would be complete without delicious food, and our BBQ lunch was a treat! The surprise visit from the ice cream truck added an extra layer of joy to our days, making our learning experience feel like a true festival of fun and discovery.
Sports and Games
And what better way to cap off this fantastic week than with our Sports and Games morning? Led by our dedicated PE department, the event was filled with competitive spirit and camaraderie, culminating in an incredible Olympics-themed lunch that brought everyone together in a jubilant celebration.
In summary, Lower School Activity Week at WASCZ was an unforgettable journey filled with enthusiasm, learning, and joy. Thanks to all our students, teachers, and parents for making it such a memorable experience! Here’s to more exciting adventures ahead!
