A team of Upper School students embarked on their Tianmu Lake enrichment Journey a few weeks ago. This journey was about exploration, personal growth, and building lifelong skills in a fun and engaging environment. Students dove into hands-on outdoor activities that challenged them to step outside their comfort zones and discover their potential.
Participants learned more essential outdoor skills throughout the camp, like shelter-building, fire-making, and navigation. They experienced the thrill of working together with friends to create their own campsite and cook meals under the stars!
The high ropes course took the excitement to new heights as students set their own challenges and conquered obstacles high above the ground. This was a chance to push limits, build confidence, and forge strong bonds with classmates.
The camping experience provided students with an opportunity to engage with nature. They participated in daily hikes along trails, observing local wildlife and the outdoors. Evenings were filled with activities around the campfire, where the students took the lead in storytelling and other contributions, adding their unique perspectives and creativity to the overall experience.
This Enrichment Camp was not just about adventure but also about developing essential life skills such as self-reliance, teamwork, and respect for others. By the end of the trip, students returned home with incredible stories to share and a deepened appreciation for nature.
This shared love for the outdoors is something we hope they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
